Hornstra Ice Cream

Our first ice cream shop we (me, Jack, and mom) visited was Hornstra Dairy Farm. You can find this place at 246 Prospect Street, Norwell, MA. They serve hard ice cream which is homemade right on the farm. You can get all sorts of toppings some that we got were chocolate jimmies and whip cream, but they have many more toppings.

These are the flavors they currently sell.

Here we are enjoying our creamy, fresh chocolate chip ice cream, oreo ice cream, and cow tracks ice cream.

Some cool things that you can see are the cows and the milking station.

The store where you can buy fresh milk and other tasty treats opens at 10am and closes at 8pm.  The ice cream shop opens at 12pm and closes at 8pm.

Our overall rating is a * * * * * star rating.  This was based on the freshness of the ice cream, the nice staff members, clean bathrooms, benches to sit on and the ANIMALS.

We will be coming back here again!

Mosquito Ice Cream, Raymond, Maine

Mosquito Ice Cream

Our second ice cream shop we (me, Jack, Mom and Dad) visited was Mosquito. You can find this shop at 1333 Roosevelt Trail, Raymond, Maine. They serve hard ice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt which comes from Blake's Ice Cream.

They had 54 different flavors of ice cream. The flavors my family tried were Brownie Cookie Dough (Connor), Cake Batter (Jack),Mocha Carmel by the Sea(dad), and Milky Way (mom). My Dads flavor was a kind he had never tried or seen sold before.

There are 7 different sizes and each has a good amount in it.

THERE ARE SO MANY TOPPINGS!

Me and Jack enjoying our delicious ice cream.

Can you find the large Mosquito in this picture?

If you are in the Raymond, Maine area you need to stop by this place.  It has a nice screened porch to eat in, friendly staff and it's very charming.  The store is open from 11am to 11pm.

Our overall rating is a **** stars.  This was based on the rich and flavorful ice cream, the amount of toppings and the nice staff.  It would have received five stars however there is no bathroom and they only take cash.

If you are in the area again this summer we will definitely go back!
